Timolol brand names: Blocadren, Timol, Timoptic.
Octopamine has a moderate interaction with Timolol. In humans, octopamine 450-600 mg daily increases blood pressure in hypotensive patients.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Timolol
Timolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Octopamine interacts with.
Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), Amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing with timolol: it's a beta blocker that works to slow your heart rate and bring your blood pressure down. Octopamine is a stimulant-like compound related to adrenaline, so it can nudge things in the opposite direction by raising heart rate and blood pressure. That tug-of-war is why combining them can be tricky.
In people, octopamine doses around 450 to 600 mg daily have pushed blood pressure up, which could partly work against timolol and leave your numbers less controlled. Animal data hint it might sometimes lower pressure too, so the evidence isn't rock solid. Bottom line: this isn't an emergency, but don't start an octopamine product without checking with your pharmacist or doctor first. Watch for unusual heart racing, jitteriness, or blood pressure swings.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Timolol page
“The supplement list for timolol (Blocadren, Timoptic) calls for genuine care, starting with its five major-rated entries. Timolol is a beta-blocker that slows the heart and lowers blood pressure, and even the eye-drop form absorbs enough to matter.”

About Octopamine
What is Octopamine?
- Weight loss and fat burning
- Boosting energy
- Athletic performance
- Appetite suppression
Octopamine is a stimulant-like compound found in small amounts in some plants (such as bitter orange) and made naturally in the body. It is marketed mostly in weight-loss and sports supplements, but human evidence that it actually helps with fat loss or performance is very limited. Because it can affect the heart and blood pressure and is banned in some sports, talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it.
About Timolol
What Is Timolol Used For?
Brand names: Blocadren, Timol, Timoptic
Timolol is available in ophthalmic (eye) forms and as an oral tablet, and each form has its own approved uses. Ophthalmic formulations — including Betimol, Istalol, Timolol GFS, Timolol hemihydrate, Timolol Maleate eye drops, and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution — are used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye) in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.
Timolol Maleate tablets are used orally for three separate conditions: treating high blood pressure (alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines), reducing the risk of death and repeat heart attack in people who have survived a heart attack and are clinically stable, and preventing migraine headaches.

Timolol Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Timolol as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Octopamine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
