Octopamine + Terazosin
Terazosin brand names: Hytrin, Terazosin.
Octopamine has a moderate interaction with Terazosin. In humans, octopamine 450-600 mg daily increases blood pressure in hypotensive patients.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Terazosin
Terazosin falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Octopamine interacts with.
Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), Amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Terazosin is an alpha-blocker, so it relaxes your blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. Octopamine works in the opposite direction. It acts like a mild stimulant on adrenaline-type receptors and can nudge blood pressure and heart rate up. So octopamine may partly work against terazosin and blunt how well it controls your blood pressure.
There's also a flip side. Mixing a stimulant with a blood-pressure-lowering drug can sometimes lead to unpredictable swings, including the dizziness or lightheadedness terazosin is already known for, especially when you stand up. The human evidence here is limited and a bit mixed, so I wouldn't panic, but I would run it by your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

About Octopamine
What is Octopamine?
- Weight loss and fat burning
- Boosting energy
- Athletic performance
- Appetite suppression
Octopamine is a stimulant-like compound found in small amounts in some plants (such as bitter orange) and made naturally in the body. It is marketed mostly in weight-loss and sports supplements, but human evidence that it actually helps with fat loss or performance is very limited. Because it can affect the heart and blood pressure and is banned in some sports, talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it.
About Terazosin
What Is Terazosin Used For?
Brand names: Hytrin, Terazosin
Terazosin capsules and Tezruly oral solution are both used to relieve the urinary symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — the enlarged prostate condition that causes trouble urinating — in adult males. They are also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines.
Lowering blood pressure with terazosin reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including strokes and heart attacks. Tezruly (the oral solution) may be used alone or alongside other antihypertensive agents for hypertension.

Terazosin Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Terazosin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Octopamine — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
