Here's the piece that matters for this combo: your medicine contains pseudoephedrine, a decongestant that acts as a mild stimulant on your nervous system. Peyote (through mescaline) is a powerful psychedelic that also revs up brain activity. Putting the two together can stack those stimulating effects, which is why this is flagged as a major concern. You could see things like a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, anxiety, or a more intense and unpredictable psychedelic experience.

I'll be honest, this warning is based on how these substances work in theory rather than a pile of human studies, so the exact risk isn't pinned down. Also keep in mind the hydrocodone half is a sedating opioid, so you'd be mixing uppers and a downer, which clouds the picture further. Peyote isn't a safe self-treatment option here. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything.
