Alogliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Picrorhiza interacts with.

Evidence from animal research suggests that an extract of picrorhiza can reduce fasting and non-fasting blood sugar levels. Theoretically, picrorhiza might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: Kazano combines two diabetes medicines (alogliptin and metformin) that already work to lower your blood sugar. Picrorhiza, in animal studies, also seems to nudge blood sugar down a bit. Stack those together and the worry is that your sugar could drop too low. With this combo, watch for the usual low blood sugar warning signs: shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, dizziness, confusion, or sudden hunger.

I want to be honest, though, this concern comes from lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so it may not amount to much in real life. Still, if you'd like to try picrorhiza, loop in your pharmacist or doctor first and keep a closer eye on your glucose readings for a while. Please don't change your Kazano dose on your own.
