STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Acetaminophen, Dichlorophenazone, Isometheptane
Acetaminophen, Dichlorophenazone, Isometheptane falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.
Rauwolscine has demonstrated stimulant effects in animal research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the piece to pay attention to in this combo product (Isocom): the isometheptene component. Isometheptene is a mild stimulant-type ingredient that narrows blood vessels to help relieve certain headaches, and it can nudge up your heart rate and blood pressure. Rauwolscine works on the body in a similar stimulating direction by raising norepinephrine. So stacking the two could, in theory, add up to more stimulant effects than either alone.
What that might feel like: a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, anxiety, or higher blood pressure. To be fair, this caution comes mostly from animal and lab data, not solid human studies, so it's more theoretical than proven. Still, if you have any heart issues or high blood pressure, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these.
