STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Acetaminophen, Phenylpropanolamine
Acetaminophen, Phenylpropanolamine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.
Rauwolscine has demonstrated stimulant effects in animal research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Tetra Caps contains phenylpropanolamine, a decongestant that itself acts like a mild stimulant by tightening blood vessels and nudging up your heart rate and blood pressure. Rauwolscine works through a different pathway but pushes in the same direction, boosting your body's natural stimulant chemicals. Stack the two and those stimulant effects can pile on top of each other.
What that could feel like: a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitters, anxiety, trouble sleeping, or a headache. Just so you know, this concern is mostly theoretical and comes from animal studies, not strong human data, so the real risk is uncertain. Still, if you have heart issues or high blood pressure, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
