STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Amobarbital, Ephedrine Sulfate
Amobarbital, Ephedrine Sulfate falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.
Rauwolscine has demonstrated stimulant effects in animal research.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind with this combo. The product you're asking about contains ephedrine, which is itself a stimulant that boosts norepinephrine signaling and can raise your heart rate and blood pressure. Rauwolscine works in a similar stimulant direction by blocking alpha-2 receptors, which can also push norepinephrine up. So you're essentially stacking two stimulants on top of each other.
When you do that, the worry is more of the usual stimulant side effects: a racing or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, anxiety, and trouble sleeping. Honestly, this is mostly based on animal research, not strong human studies, so it's more of a theoretical concern. Still, since both ingredients can stress the heart, I'd run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you have any heart issues.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Amobarbital, Ephedrine Sulfate page
“Ephedrine & Amytal pairs a barbiturate sedative, amobarbital, with the stimulant ephedrine, so the supplements that interact with it pull in two directions at once, and I would treat this list with genuine care. Ten of the 132 ingredients on file are rated major: alcohol and kava can deepen the sedation toward dangerously slowed breath…”
