Here's the gist for combining rauwolscine with butorphanol (Stadol). Both of these can, on their own, nudge your brain toward being more excitable. Opioids like butorphanol can lower the seizure threshold a little, and rauwolscine is a stimulant that ramps up norepinephrine. Put them together and, in theory, the chance of a seizure could go up slightly. Butorphanol isn't a prodrug here, so this isn't about one changing the other's blood levels. It's more about two things pushing in the same direction.

I want to be honest with you: this concern comes from animal lab research, not from people, so it's mostly theoretical. Still, since rauwolscine can also spike heart rate and blood pressure, please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements. What Is Butorphanol Injection Used For?

Brand name: Stadol

Butorphanol Tartrate Injection is used to manage pain severe enough to require an opioid when other treatments are not adequate. It is also used as a preoperative or pre-anesthetic medication and as a supplement to balanced anesthesia during surgical procedures.

Butorphanol Tartrate Injection is also indicated for relief of pain during labor in patients at full term in early labor. Because of serious risks including addiction, misuse, and overdose, it is reserved for situations where alternative treatments are ineffective or not tolerated.
