Here's the short version on combining rauwolscine with CoActifed (codeine, pseudoephedrine, and triprolidine). This is mostly a theoretical concern based only on animal lab work, where rauwolscine made it easier to trigger seizures. We don't have solid human data, so I wouldn't panic, but it's worth knowing.

Both products lean on the stimulating side. Rauwolscine and the pseudoephedrine in CoActifed can both bump up heart rate, blood pressure, jitteriness, and anxiety, so stacking them may make those effects more noticeable. If you have a seizure history, a heart condition, or trouble with anxiety, that's reason to be extra cautious. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these, rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.

Here's something worth knowing about CoActifed. The codeine part is actually a prodrug, meaning your body has to switch it on using an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn it into morphine, which is what relieves pain and cough. Lab studies suggest rauwolscine (a cousin of yohimbine) may block that same enzyme. If it does, your body might make less morphine, so the codeine could feel weaker than expected.

On top of that, both rauwolscine and the pseudoephedrine in this product are stimulants, so together they could nudge up your heart rate, blood pressure, jitteriness, or anxiety. This is theory based on test-tube work, not proven in people, so I wouldn't panic. Still, it's a smart thing to run by your pharmacist or doctor first.

The part of CoActifed that matters most here is the pseudoephedrine, which is itself a stimulant decongestant. Rauwolscine also has stimulant-like effects, so stacking the two could add up. Together they might push your heart rate and blood pressure higher than either alone, and you may notice jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious or on edge.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this concern comes mainly from animal and lab studies, not solid human data, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since rauwolscine isn't recommended for anyone with heart issues or anxiety, it's worth running this combo past your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them, especially if you already deal with high blood pressure.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements.
