Rauwolscine + Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone
Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone brand name: Ibucodone.
Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone falls into 3 drug categories that Rauwolscine can interact with; the most serious is rated moderate. Theoretically, taking rauwolscine with seizure threshold lowering drugs might increase the risk of adverse convulsant effects.

These two interact in 3 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 3 Interactions?
Rauwolscine interacts with whole categories of medication. Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone falls into 3 of those categories, so it can interact with Rauwolscine in 3 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS
1 of 3Why this applies to Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone
Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Rauwolscine interacts with.
In animal research, intraperitoneal rauwolscine lowered the seizure threshold level of the drug metrazol.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for your Ibuprofen/Hydrocodone combo (sold as Ibucodone). The hydrocodone half is an opioid pain reliever, and opioids can slightly lower the threshold for seizures, especially at higher doses. Rauwolscine, a stimulant found in some fat-burner and pre-workout products, may also nudge that threshold down. So in theory, using them together could add up and make a seizure a bit more likely in someone who is prone to them.
I want to be honest with you though: this concern comes only from animal lab research, not from people, so the real-world risk for most folks is likely small. Still, given that rauwolscine also raises heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety, I'd run this combination past your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
2 of 3Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the wrinkle with this combo product: the hydrocodone part is actually a prodrug. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn some of it into hydromorphone, which is a stronger painkiller. Rauwolscine (a cousin of yohimbine) may block that enzyme, so in theory less of the hydrocodone gets converted, which could mean weaker pain relief than you'd expect.
I'll be honest, this is only a theoretical concern based on lab studies of yohimbine, not real-world reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The ibuprofen side isn't really affected here. Since rauwolscine itself can raise heart rate and blood pressure, just run this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
3 of 3Ibuprofen, Hydrocodone also falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits platelet aggregation.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know about Ibucodone (a combination of ibuprofen and hydrocodone): the ibuprofen part already has a mild blood-thinning effect on its own, since it temporarily makes platelets less sticky. Rauwolscine, which is cousin to yohimbine, might do something similar based on lab studies. Put the two together and, in theory, you could bruise more easily or be slower to stop bleeding from a small cut.
I want to be straight with you though: this concern is theoretical and comes from test-tube research, not from real people. For most folks it won't cause trouble. Still, if you notice unusual bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset, or you take other blood thinners, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements.
