Here's the gist with Tramacet (tramadol plus acetaminophen): the tramadol part can lower your seizure threshold on its own, meaning it slightly raises the odds of a convulsion, especially at higher doses or if you have a history of seizures. Rauwolscine, found in many fat-burner and pre-workout products, may nudge that threshold lower too. Stacked together, the theoretical worry is a small bump in seizure risk.

I'll be honest with you though: this concern comes from animal lab research, not from people, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, if you take Tramacet, I'd run any rauwolscine supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first rather than combining them on your own.

Theoretically, rauwolscine might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Rauwolscine is structurally related to yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's a wrinkle worth knowing about this combo. The tramadol in Tramacet is actually a bit of a prodrug. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn it into a much stronger painkiller (called O-desmethyltramadol), and that's where a lot of its pain relief comes from. Rauwolscine, which is a cousin of yohimbine, may block that same CYP2D6 enzyme in the lab. If it slows that conversion, you could actually get less pain relief from the tramadol part.

I'll be honest, this is theoretical and based on test-tube data, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. But rauwolscine on its own can crank up heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety. Please run this pairing by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements.
