Hydrochlorothiazide, Moexipril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Rehmannia interacts with.

Theoretically, rehmannia might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research shows that rehmannia may have hypotensive effects. Laboratory research shows that formulations of dried and processed rehmannia root inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE).

Your Uniretic combines two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and moexipril (an ACE inhibitor). Here's the interesting part. Lab studies suggest rehmannia may gently block ACE too, the very same enzyme your moexipril targets, and animal research hints it can lower blood pressure on its own. Stacked on top of your medication, that could push your pressure down further than intended.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or wobbly when standing up quickly. I want to be honest though: this is only theoretical, based on test-tube and animal work, not real patients, so the actual risk is uncertain. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding rehmannia, and don't change your Uniretic on your own.
