Schizonepeta + Fruquintinib
Fruquintinib brand name: Fruzaqla.
Schizonepeta has a moderate interaction with Fruquintinib. Animal research suggests that schizonepetin, a monoterpene constituent of schizonepeta, induces cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Fruquintinib
Fruquintinib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Schizonepeta interacts with.
Some substrates of CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with pairing Schizonepeta and Fruquintinib (Fruzaqla), the targeted pill used for certain advanced colorectal cancers. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down fruquintinib. Lab and animal studies hint that a compound in Schizonepeta may speed up that enzyme, which in theory could clear the drug faster and leave less of it working against your cancer. With a cancer therapy, weaker drug levels are a real worry.
I want to be honest though: this is only theoretical, based on animal data, not people. Culinary or small traditional-formula amounts likely matter far less than concentrated extracts. Still, given the stakes, please run any Schizonepeta product by your oncologist or pharmacist first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Fruquintinib page
“Fruquintinib (Fruzaqla) is an oral targeted therapy for advanced colorectal cancer, which means keeping its blood level steady is part of what makes it work, and I would treat this supplement list with genuine care. Of the 168 ingredients on file, the large majority interact through CYP3A4, the liver enzyme that clears the drug, so the…”

About Fruquintinib
What Is Fruquintinib Used For?
Brand name: Fruzaqla
Fruzaqla (fruquintinib) is used to treat adults with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) — colorectal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is specifically for patients who have already been treated with several standard chemotherapy regimens and other targeted therapies.
Fruzaqla is intended for patients who have previously received fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin-, and irinotecan-based chemotherapy, an anti-VEGF therapy, and — if their tumor is RAS wild-type and it is medically appropriate — an anti-EGFR therapy.
