Erythromycin Ethylsuccinate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Schizonepeta interacts with.

Animal research suggests that schizonepetin, a monoterpene constituent of schizonepeta, induces cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4. Theoretically, schizonepeta might decrease the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some substrates of CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others.

Here's the gist for erythromycin: your body partly clears this antibiotic using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Animal studies hint that a compound in Schizonepeta may speed up that enzyme. If that holds true in people, your body could break down erythromycin a little faster, which might lower its levels and make it less effective at clearing your infection.

I want to be honest about the strength of this. The evidence here is very thin, just lab and animal work, not human studies, so this is mostly theoretical. Erythromycin is not a prodrug, so faster clearance means weaker effect, not stronger side effects. Still, if you're taking this herb while fighting an infection, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how well you're recovering.
