Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Sesame interacts with.

Taking sesame oil with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical studies show that sesame oil can decrease plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels. Some clinical research in patients taking glibenclamide shows that using sesame oil or a blend of sesame oil and rice bran oil in place of other oil for cooking reduces plasma glucose more than glibenclamide alone. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Here is the good news for this specific pairing: dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is actually the opposite of a blood sugar lowering drug. You only reach for it in an emergency to raise a dangerously low blood sugar, because it tells your liver to dump stored sugar into your blood. So even though sesame oil may nudge blood sugar down a little over time, it is not going to block a rescue dose when you truly need one.

That said, this whole interaction is theoretical and based mostly on regular cooking and supplement studies, not on Zegalogue itself. If you use a lot of concentrated sesame oil and notice more frequent lows, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so your overall diabetes plan can be checked.

Brand name: Zegalogue

Zegalogue is used to treat severe hypoglycemia — a dangerously low blood sugar episode — in adults and children aged 6 years and older who have diabetes. Severe hypoglycemia is a medical emergency that requires immediate action.

Zegalogue is not a day-to-day diabetes medicine. It is prescribed as an emergency kit to be on hand in case a person with diabetes becomes unresponsive or cannot safely swallow food or juice to raise their blood sugar.
