Chardonna-2 combines belladonna (which calms stomach cramping) with phenobarbital, a barbiturate that has a sedating, calming effect. Here's the catch: St. John's wort revs up the liver enzymes that clear phenobarbital from your body. That means the phenobarbital gets broken down faster, so less of it sticks around to do its job.

For you, that can show up as the medicine not working as well, with symptoms like more stomach cramping, anxiety, or restlessness creeping back. The trickier part is timing. If you stop the St. John's wort, phenobarbital levels can swing back up, which may cause too much drowsiness or grogginess. Since this is a likely, well-documented interaction, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before mixing these, and don't change your dose on your own.

Here's the gist for Chardonna-2, which combines belladonna extract with phenobarbital. St. John's wort tends to speed up certain liver enzymes (in this case CYP2B6), and phenobarbital is partly handled by that pathway. So taking the herb regularly could nudge your body to clear the phenobarbital a bit faster, which may leave less of it in your system over time. In real life that could mean the calming or anti-seizure effect feels weaker than expected.

Phenobarbital itself is also a strong enzyme inducer, so these two pulling in the same direction makes things hard to predict. The evidence here is modest, but I'd still loop in your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them. Please don't change anything on your own.
