Ribociclib Succinate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Sulforaphane interacts with.

Theoretically, sulforaphane might increase the levels and effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Animal and in vitro research shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity and downregulates its expression. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the short version: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down ribociclib (Kisqali). In lab dishes and animal studies, sulforaphane has slowed that same enzyme down. If that held true in people, ribociclib could clear more slowly and build up, which might mean stronger side effects like low white blood cell counts, nausea, fatigue, or changes in your heart's electrical rhythm (a longer QT interval).

The important caveat: this is theoretical and has never actually been seen in humans. Eating broccoli and other cruciferous veggies isn't the concern here. A concentrated sulforaphane supplement is a different story. Since ribociclib is a serious cancer medication, please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding any supplement.

What Is Ribociclib Used For?

Brand name: Kisqali

Kisqali (ribociclib) tablets are used in adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. For early breast cancer (stage II or III, at high risk of coming back), Kisqali is given alongside an aromatase inhibitor as adjuvant treatment — meaning treatment after initial surgery to reduce the risk of the cancer returning.

For advanced or metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread), Kisqali is used in combination with either an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant — as the first hormonal treatment tried, or after the cancer has grown despite prior hormone therapy.
