Why this applies to Propranolol

Propranolol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Sulforaphane interacts with.

Theoretically, sulforaphane might alter the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
Animal and in vitro research shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP1A2 enzyme activity. However, its precursor glucoraphanin also appears to increase the expression of the CYP1A2 enzyme, which could lead to increased metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates. These effects have not been reported in humans.

Here's the situation with broccoli-derived sulforaphane and your propranolol. Propranolol is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In test tube and animal studies, sulforaphane appears to slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let propranolol build up a bit. If that happened, you might notice a stronger effect, such as a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, dizziness, or feeling unusually tired. Confusingly, a related compound in the same vegetables may push the enzyme the other way, so the net result really isn't clear.

The key word here is theoretical. This has not been shown in people, and eating broccoli at meals is very unlikely to be an issue. If you're considering a concentrated sulforaphane supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Propranolol (Cardiovascular) Used For?

Brand names: Inderal LA, Inderal, Angilol, Syprol, Inderal Injection, Half-Inderal LA, Bedranol SR, Half Beta Prograne, Beta Prograne, Lopranol LA, Slo-Pro, InnoPran XL

This intravenous (IV) form of propranolol is used in hospital or clinical settings to treat dangerous heart rhythm problems. It is generally reserved for life-threatening arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms) or those that occur during anesthesia.

Specific conditions it treats include fast heart rates coming from the upper chambers of the heart (supraventricular tachycardia), certain arrhythmias caused by digitalis toxicity, dangerous ventricular rhythms that haven't responded to other treatments, and fast heart rates caused by excess adrenaline-like substances during surgery.
