In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP1A2 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with this combo. Your cough medicine pairs acetaminophen (Tylenol) with dextromethorphan (the cough suppressant). Thunder God Vine contains a compound called triptolide that, in lab dish studies only, slowed down a liver enzyme (CYP1A2) that helps process certain drugs. If that slowdown happened in real life, these medicines could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which might mean more drowsiness, dizziness, or stomach upset from the dextromethorphan side.
The honest truth is this is purely theoretical. It has never been reported in actual people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since Thunder God Vine can be toxic if dosed wrong, please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Here's the gist with this combo. Your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear the dextromethorphan in Tylenol Cough Ex Strength. Lab studies (in test tubes, not people) suggest a compound in thunder god vine called triptolide may slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let dextromethorphan build up a bit, nudging up side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, or feeling foggy.
I want to be honest though: this is theoretical and has never actually been reported in humans, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The acetaminophen side isn't really the concern here. Thunder god vine itself can be risky and needs medical oversight, so please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
