Bepridil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Thunder God Vine interacts with.

Theoretically, thunder god vine might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that triptolide, a constituent of thunder god vine, inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes in human microsomes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Let me walk you through this one. Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down and clear Bepridil, which is an older heart rhythm medication. Lab studies suggest that triptolide, a compound in Thunder God Vine, may slow that enzyme down. If that happened in a real person, Bepridil could build up to higher levels than expected.

Why does that matter here? Bepridil is one of those medications that can affect your heart's rhythm, including a risk of prolonging the QT interval, so even modest increases in its levels are worth taking seriously. The good news is this interaction is only theoretical right now and has not been reported in actual patients. Still, please don't combine these without first checking with your doctor or pharmacist.
