Dalteparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Tree Of Heaven interacts with.

Theoretically, tree of heaven extract might reduce platelet aggregation and increase the risk of bleeding if used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs. In vitro evidence shows that tree of heaven crude extract attenuates epinephrine and adenosine diphosphate-induced platelet aggregation. This interaction has not been seen in humans. Until more is known, use with caution in patients taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.

Here's the simple version: Dalteparin (Fragmin) is already a blood thinner, and Tree of Heaven may have a mild blood-thinning effect of its own. In lab dish studies, the plant's extract made platelets (the cells that help form clots) a little less sticky. Stack that on top of dalteparin and, in theory, you could nudge up your bleeding risk.

What might that look like in real life? Easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or cuts that take longer to stop. I want to be honest, though: this has only been seen in the lab, never proven in people, so the concern is theoretical. Since dalteparin is serious medicine, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining the two rather than guessing on your own.

Modern scientific evidence in humans is very limited, and the plant can cause stomach upset and skin reactions, so it should be used cautiously and not without professional guidance.

About Dalteparin Injection

What Is Dalteparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Fragmin

Fragmin (dalteparin) injection is used to prevent blood clots (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) in patients having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or in medical patients who are severely immobile during a serious illness. It is also used to reduce the risk of dangerous complications from unstable angina and a type of heart attack called non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, given alongside aspirin.

Fragmin is also used for the extended treatment of symptomatic venous thromboembolism (VTE — blood clots in the veins or lungs) to prevent recurrence in adult cancer patients, and for the treatment of symptomatic VTE in children from birth (gestational age at least 35 weeks). Fragmin is not intended for the immediate (acute) treatment of VTE.
