Here's the simple version: Clobazam already slows things down in the brain to help calm seizure activity, which is why it tends to make people drowsy, foggy, or unsteady. The concern with yerba mansa is that it may have its own mild calming, sedative-type effect. Stack the two together and you could feel extra sleepy, more woozy, or less sharp than usual.

I want to be honest about how strong this warning is: it's theoretical, based on how these things behave rather than real cases in people. So I'm not ringing alarm bells. Still, since clobazam is a seizure medicine, don't change anything on your own. Just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up before combining them, and watch for unusual daytime drowsiness.

What Is Clobazam Used For?

Clobazam is used as an add-on (adjunctive) treatment for seizures linked to Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a severe form of childhood-onset epilepsy. It is approved for patients 2 years of age and older.

This indication applies to all available forms: Sympazan (dissolving oral film), Onfi (tablets and oral suspension), and generic clobazam tablets and oral suspension.
