Here's the simple version. Clorazepate (Tranxene) is a benzodiazepine that calms your brain down, so it can make you drowsy, foggy, or relaxed. The thought here is that Yerba Mansa may add its own mild calming, sedative-type effect on top of that. Stacked together, you might feel sleepier, dizzier, or more out of it than usual, with slower reflexes.

I want to be honest with you though: this concern is theoretical, based on how these things behave in the lab rather than on solid human studies. It's not a dangerous chemical clash, and it does not change how your body breaks down clorazepate. Still, if you plan to use Yerba Mansa, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first, and don't drive until you know how the combo feels.

What Is Clorazepate Used For?

Brand names: Tranxene, Tranxene T-Tab, Tranxene SD

Clorazepate dipotassium tablets are used to manage anxiety disorders or to provide short-term relief of anxiety symptoms. They are also used as an add-on (adjunctive) therapy alongside other medications to help control partial seizures in adults and children aged 9 and older.

In addition, clorazepate dipotassium tablets are used for symptomatic relief during acute alcohol withdrawal — helping to ease the physical symptoms that can occur when someone suddenly stops drinking.
