CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Temazepam
Temazepam falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Yerba Mansa interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: Temazepam (Restoril) is a sleep medicine that already works by calming brain activity to help you drift off. Yerba mansa is thought to have a mild relaxing, sedative-type quality of its own. Put the two together and the worry is that they could pile on top of each other, leaving you more drowsy, groggy, or unsteady than you expected, with effects that may linger into the morning.
I want to be honest about the evidence, though. This is a theoretical concern based on how these things behave, not on solid human studies. It's not about Temazepam building up in your blood, just the two having similar calming effects. To be safe, especially with falls, balance, or next-day fogginess, check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

This page covers Yerba Mansa only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Temazepam page lists 197 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: 1,4-butanediol (major), Activated Charcoal (major), Beer (major), Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb) (major) and Grapefruit (major).
By severity: 9 major · 150 moderate · 38 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Temazepam page
“Alcohol is the interaction I would flag first for anyone taking temazepam (Restoril), a benzodiazepine sleep medicine. Beer and wine both carry major ratings because they layer their own sedation on top of a drug that already depresses the nervous system, and that additive drowsiness runs through 78 of the 197 supplements on file.”
