Here's the gist with Reglan (metoclopramide) and yerba mansa. Metoclopramide already tends to make some folks drowsy or foggy, and yerba mansa is thought to have a mild calming, sedative-type quality. Put them together and the worry is simply that those effects could stack up, leaving you sleepier, more tired, or slower to react than you'd expect.

I want to be honest about the strength here: this is a theoretical concern based on how the plant may behave, not something proven in real patients. Yerba mansa itself has very little human research behind it. Still, if you take Reglan and want to try this herb, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, and don't drive until you know how the combination affects you.

Modern scientific evidence in humans is very limited, so its effectiveness is largely unproven. About Metoclopramide

What Is Metoclopramide Used For?

Brand names: Reglan, Metoclopramide Injection, Octamide

Metoclopramide tablets are used in adults for two main conditions. First, they treat symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux (GERD — when stomach acid backs up into the esophagus) in people who haven't gotten relief from standard treatments. Second, they ease symptoms of diabetic gastroparesis, a condition where nerve damage from diabetes causes the stomach to empty too slowly.

Treatment is meant to be short-term. For acid reflux, it's used for 4 to 12 weeks. For diabetic gastroparesis, it's generally used for 2 to 8 weeks. It is not recommended for children due to serious safety concerns.
