What’s inside
Full disclosure
Equaline Coenzyme Q-10 contains one active ingredient: coenzyme Q10, supplied at 50 mg per softgel capsule. Coenzyme Q10 is a compound your body makes naturally and uses to produce energy in your cells; it also acts as an antioxidant.
The softgel also contains inactive ingredients—soybean oil, gelatin, glycerin, yellow beeswax, lecithin, D-alpha-tocopherol, titanium dioxide, and riboflavin—that serve as the capsule shell and carrier.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Coenzyme Q10 is likely effective for treating coenzyme Q10 deficiency. For other conditions, the evidence is more limited: it is possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure (CHF), and diabetic neuropathy, meaning some clinical evidence supports use but more research is needed to be certain.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Coenzyme Q10 is generally well tolerated by most adults when used as directed. In clinical studies, no serious adverse effects were reported.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal—appetite suppression, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting—though these occur in less than 1% of people taking it. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have also been reported; a very small number of people have experienced skin itching or rash.
The safety data during pregnancy is not robust enough to recommend it; talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice. Safety while breastfeeding has not been well studied, so use caution and check with your doctor before taking this product.
Meds to double-check

Check your exact medications if you take blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin), chemotherapy drugs including alkylating agents such as cyclophosphamide, or blood pressure medications. These are the main categories where coenzyme Q10 has documented interactions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you're deficient in coenzyme Q10, this supplement is a good fit. It may also help with migraines, fibromyalgia, or heart-related issues, though the evidence is still developing.
If you take blood thinners like warfarin, chemotherapy drugs, or blood pressure medications, check with your pharmacist first—this supplement could affect how they work.

Coenzyme Q-10 50 mg by Equaline Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Equaline Coenzyme Q-10 50 mg contains one active ingredient—coenzyme Q10—that interacts with a small number of medication types.
The most serious concern is with chemotherapy drugs called alkylating agents (such as cyclophosphamide). Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant properties, and theoretically this may reduce how well these chemotherapy drugs work, since many of them rely on generating free radicals to kill cancer cells.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
A Moderate-severity interaction also exists with warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner. Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to vitamin K and may have blood-clotting effects that could weaken warfarin's ability to prevent clots.
Four cases of reduced warfarin effectiveness linked to coenzyme Q10 have been reported.
Finally, there is a Minor interaction with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives). Some research shows coenzyme Q10 can lower blood pressure on its own, so taking it alongside blood pressure drugs could theoretically cause a larger drop than intended.
If you take any of these medications, run your full medication list through the interaction checker below before starting this product. Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications.

For each ingredient in Coenzyme Q-10 50 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
