Maxi Active Pro-10 Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Maxi Health
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Maxi Active Pro-10 against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Maxi Active Pro-10 is a powder probiotic blend with 16 active ingredients: live beneficial bacteria including multiple Lactobacillus species (acidophilus, salivarius, plantarum, bulgaricus, casei, helveticus, lactis, rhamnosus, and reuteri) and several Bifidobacterium species (longum infantis, longum, bifidum, animalis lactis, and breve), plus Streptococcus thermophilus. These are "good" bacteria meant to support digestive and immune health.
The inactive ingredients include mannitol, silicon dioxide, tricalcium phosphate, and steviosides (a natural sweetener).
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's probiotics is mixed and often limited. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum each show possibly effective ratings for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and some other conditions, but many of the other bacteria in this blend have insufficient evidence to rate—meaning studies haven't established whether they work for their proposed uses.
Streptococcus thermophilus, for example, has not been shown to be effective for any of the conditions tested so far. If you're considering this product for a specific health goal, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist to see if the evidence supports it for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Most of these probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. However, there are important cautions: people with weakened immune systems, those who are seriously ill, and premature infants should check with their doctor first, because rare cases of bloodstream infection (bacteremia) or sepsis have been reported in these vulnerable groups.
When taken by mouth, some people report mild gastrointestinal discomfort—bloating, gas, abdominal pain, or diarrhea—but these are uncommon. For pregnancy, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Streptococcus thermophilus are rated possibly safe, but we don't hold pregnancy data for Lactobacillus helveticus or Bifidobacterium breve; ask your doctor for personalized advice.
Lactation data are incomplete for most ingredients—check with your healthcare provider before using while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start Maxi Active Pro-10, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take any antibiotic drugs (Moderate severity interaction). The probiotics contain live organisms that antibiotics can kill, which reduces the probiotic's benefit—spacing them a few hours apart usually prevents this, but timing depends on your specific medication.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Maxi Active Pro-10 is a multi-strain probiotic meant to support digestive health, with a few ingredients showing possibly effective evidence for IBS and antibiotic-associated diarrhea, though many strains lack established effectiveness data. The main thing to watch: if you take antibiotics, space them several hours apart from this supplement so the antibiotics don't kill the live bacteria.
If you have a weakened immune system, are very ill, or are expecting or nursing, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting—they can advise whether it's right for you.

To protect the probiotic benefit, separate the timing of your antibiotics and this supplement. Your doctor or pharmacist can advise you on how far apart to take them—often a few hours is enough, but it depends on the specific antibiotic and probiotic formulation.
We could not check several other ingredients in this product for interactions: Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus casei, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Other Carbohydrates, Lactobacillus lactis, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Lactobacillus reuteri. That doesn't mean they don't interact—just that we don't hold data for them.
