Probiotic 50 Billion CFU Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by NATURELO Premium Supplements
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic 50 Billion CFU against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What’s inside
Low disclosure
This probiotic formula contains 11 active ingredients, mostly live bacterial strains that support digestive and immune health. The main players are Bifidobacterium species (B. longum Bl-05, B. bifidum BB-06, B. breve BB-03, and B. lactis Bi-07) and Lactobacillus species (L. acidophilus LA-14, L. casei LC-11, L. paracasei LPC-37, L. salivarius LS-33, L. plantarum LP-115, L. rhamnosus KP-GG, and L. gasseri LG-36), all designed to deliver beneficial bacteria to your gut.
The inactive ingredients — hypromellose, cellulose, rice fiber, and rice extract blend — are just the capsule and filler materials that hold everything together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for most of these strains is still limited. L. acidophilus shows possible effectiveness for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
B. bifidum appears possibly effective for IBS and respiratory tract infections. For most other claimed uses — including allergic rhinitis, anxiety, asthma, and cognitive decline — we don't have enough reliable data to say whether these strains work.
Some strains, like B. breve, actually show possible ineffectiveness for age-related cognitive decline and sepsis.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These bacteria are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. The main caution: if you're seriously ill, have a weakened immune system, or are critically ill, you should check with your doctor before taking this product — there are rare cases on record of these bacterial strains causing bloodstream infections (bacteremia) or sepsis in those situations.
Mild gastrointestinal side effects like bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and constipation have been reported rarely. One person reported a dry cough in a trial.
For pregnancy and lactation, L. acidophilus is rated possibly safe during pregnancy, and B. bifidum and B. longum are rated possibly safe for both pregnancy and lactation; however, safety data for L. gasseri during pregnancy and lactation are limited, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
The main medication type to double-check before starting this probiotic is antibiotic drugs. All five bacterial strains we could check show a moderate interaction — antibiotics can kill the live organisms in this formula, making it less effective.
Time your doses so you're not taking them together; your doctor or pharmacist can help you work out the best spacing.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic may help if you have IBS, certain infections, or antibiotic-related diarrhea, though the evidence is still growing. The key thing to watch: if you're taking antibiotics, space them apart from this supplement so the drugs don't kill the beneficial bacteria.
If you're seriously ill, immune-compromised, or pregnant or breastfeeding, clear it with your doctor or pharmacist first — the safety data are limited in those situations.
