What’s inside
Full disclosure
Ultra Hemp 1000 is a single-ingredient liquid supplement: hemp extract. The product also contains fractionated coconut oil, natural flavors, and stevia as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence supporting hemp extract for constipation, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and familial hypercholesterolemia (inherited high cholesterol) is insufficient to rate. We don't have reliable data on how well it works for these conditions.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Hemp seed foods in normal amounts are generally well tolerated. However, concentrated extracts and supplements like this one are less studied, so caution is advised.
In larger amounts, hemp seed oil appears well tolerated, though rare serious adverse effects have been reported, including anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), long QT syndrome (a heart rhythm problem), and case reports of allergic reactions ranging from hives to facial swelling and breathing difficulty. One rare case report noted elevated liver enzymes and hepatitis in a young child given very high doses of hemp extract for seizures.
There's insufficient data on safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding—talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start Ultra Hemp 1000, check if you take hormone therapy (estrogens), blood pressure medications (antihypertensives or ACE inhibitors), blood thinners (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs), or any medications broken down by your liver. Hemp interacts with dozens of drug types across these categories.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Hemp extract may be worth considering if you're interested in its potential effects, but it's important to know the interaction profile is substantial. If you take hormone therapy, blood pressure medications, blood thinners, or any drug metabolized by your liver, you should check with your pharmacist before starting.
People with hemp allergies should avoid it.

Ultra Hemp 1000 by Ultra6 Nutrition Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Ultra Hemp 1000 by Ultra6 Nutrition contains hemp extract, which interacts with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with hormone therapy: hemp may interfere with estrogens (birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy) due to its estrogenic effects, though the exact mechanism isn't fully understood.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Hemp also has minor interactions with blood pressure medications. It may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs and ACE inhibitors (blood pressure regulators), which could lower your blood pressure further.
Additionally, hemp theoretically may increase bleeding risk when combined with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin or aspirin—though human data suggests this risk is small.
Hemp can also affect how your body processes certain medications. It induces two liver enzymes (CYP1A2 and CYP3A4 substrates) that break down many drugs, which may decrease the levels and effectiveness of those medications.
Altogether, these interactions span 927 individual medications.
We recommend checking your exact medications with the search tool on this page before starting.

Hemp extract
Estrogens
Theoretically, hemp might interfere with hormone therapy due to its estrogenic effects.
In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)
Theoretically, consuming hemp seed protein isolate with ACE inhibitors might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Hemp seed protein hydrolysate has shown ACE inhibitor-like effects in a hypertensive animal model. However, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans. Until more is known, monitor blood pressure and potassium levels.
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP1A2 enzymes.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.
