Hemp + Estrone
Estrone brand name: Ortho-Est.
Hemp has a moderate interaction with Estrone. Theoretically, hemp might interfere with hormone therapy due to its estrogenic effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ESTROGENS
Why this applies to Estrone
Estrone falls under ESTROGENS — the group Hemp interacts with.
In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
If you take Estrone (Ortho-Est) for hormone replacement, here's the honest picture: the concern with hemp is mostly on paper right now. The only signal we have comes from an animal study where hemp seed in the diet helped bring estrogen levels back toward normal, but nobody knows exactly how or whether it does the same thing in people taking estrogen pills.
The worry is that hemp's plant-based estrogen-like activity could nudge your hormone balance and slightly change how your Estrone works, possibly affecting symptom control like hot flashes, or shifting side effects such as breast tenderness, bloating, or spotting. Honestly, the evidence here is weak and theoretical. Eating hemp seeds as food is very unlikely to cause trouble. If you're using concentrated hemp supplements regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Estrone page
“Hormone therapy lives or dies by a steady blood level, and estrone (Ortho-Est), an estrogen taken mostly for menopause symptoms, is no exception, so this list calls for genuine care. The two major-rated entries among the 77 both change how much estrone your body actually gets: grapefruit raises estrogen levels by blocking the enzyme th…”

About Hemp
What is Hemp?
- Plant-based protein source
- Heart health support
- Skin and hair health
- Reducing inflammation
- General nutrition (omega fatty acids)
Hemp seeds and hemp seed oil are nutritious foods rich in protein, fiber, and healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and they are generally safe for most people as part of the diet. While the nutrition is real, strong human evidence that hemp supplements treat specific medical conditions is limited. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using hemp products for a health concern, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Estrone Is Linked to Lower Levels of 5 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Estrone as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Hemp — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
