In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.

Here's the honest picture with hemp and Intrarosa (vaginal prasterone). Prasterone is a hormone your body can convert into estrogen and testosterone right in the vaginal tissue, which is how it eases the dryness and painful intercourse that come with menopause. The concern on file is purely theoretical: in an animal study, hemp seed in the diet nudged estradiol levels back toward normal, but the reason why isn't clear, and there's no human evidence that this matters for a low-dose vaginal product like yours.

So I wouldn't lose sleep over hemp seeds or hemp oil in your food. Still, since this involves a hormone medicine, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you're using concentrated hemp supplements rather than just eating the seeds.
