In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.

Beyaz is a birth control pill that combines estrogen (ethinyl estradiol), a progestin (drospirenone), and a folate (levomefolate). The concern here is theoretical only. In one animal study, hemp seed in the diet seemed to nudge estrogen levels, but researchers couldn't explain how, and there's no good human evidence that hemp changes how well a pill like this works.

So in plain terms, I wouldn't expect eating hemp seeds or hemp oil as food to interfere with your pill or its ability to prevent pregnancy. Concentrated hemp supplements are less studied, so if you plan to use those regularly, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor. Please don't stop or change your pill on your own.

Beyaz combines drospirenone, ethinyl estradiol, and the folate levomefolate as a daily birth control pill. The concern on file is that hemp might gently rev up a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, which can help clear estrogen. In theory, speeding that up could lower hormone levels a little and, at the extreme, make the pill slightly less reliable or cause spotting between periods.

Here's the honest part: this is only based on lab studies, not real people, and it's rated as a minor, possible interaction. Eating hemp seeds or hemp oil as food almost certainly won't undo your birth control. Still, since an unplanned pregnancy is a big deal, I'd mention any concentrated hemp supplements to your pharmacist or doctor before relying on them.

Here's the gist for Beyaz, your birth control pill. The hormones in it (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) are partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies suggest hemp might speed that enzyme up a little, which in theory could lower hormone levels and, in the worst case, make the pill slightly less reliable for preventing pregnancy. It could also nudge up breakthrough spotting.

I want to be honest though: this is only test-tube data, not something proven in real people, and it's rated as a minor, possible concern. Food amounts of hemp seeds or hemp oil are very unlikely to matter. If you use concentrated hemp supplements and rely on Beyaz for contraception, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
