Ketoprofen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Here's the gist for hemp and ketoprofen. Ketoprofen is an NSAID, and NSAIDs already nudge up bleeding risk a bit by slowing down how your platelets clump together to form clots. The concern is that hemp might do something similar, so stacking the two could in theory make bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach bleeding slightly more likely.

That said, this is a minor, mostly theoretical worry. The platelet effect showed up in an animal/lab study, while a human study using 2 grams of hemp seed oil daily for 12 weeks did not reduce platelet clumping. Eating hemp seeds in food is very unlikely to matter. If you use concentrated hemp supplements or notice unusual bruising or bleeding, check with your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Ketoprofen Used For?

Brand names: Orudis, Oruvail Gel, Powergel, Oruvail Injection

Ketoprofen capsules (including the brand Orudis) are used to manage the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, to treat pain, and to treat primary dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods).

Ketoprofen extended-release capsules are approved for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis only. Because of the way they slowly release the drug, ketoprofen extended-release capsules are not recommended for treating acute (sudden) pain.
