Saffron Overview
Saffron is a spice derived from the dried stigmas of the crocus plant (Crocus sativus). It is native to Southwest Asia and is known for its distinctive golden-yellow color and unique, slightly bitter taste. Saffron is one of the most expensive spices in the world due to the labor-intensive process of harvesting and processing.
Saffron has been used traditionally in cooking and herbal medicine for centuries. It is purported to have a number of potential health benefits, including reducing inflammation, improving mood, improving memory, and reducing the risk of certain types of cancer, but more studies are needed to determine its effects.
Metoprolol Overview

Metoprolol is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. It also is used to treat chronic (long-term) angina (chest pain). Metoprolol is also used to improve survival after a heart attack. Metoprolol also is used in combination with other medications to treat heart failure. Metoprolol is in a class of medications called beta blockers. It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing heart rate to improve blood flow and decrease blood pressure.
