Here's the simple version: Janumet combines two diabetes medicines, metformin and sitagliptin, that both work to lower your blood sugar. Agrimony has shown its own blood-sugar-lowering effect, but only in animal studies, so this is a theory based on how it might behave, not something proven in people.

The concern is that stacking agrimony's possible effect on top of your Janumet could push your blood sugar a little too low. Watch for signs of low blood sugar, like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, sudden hunger, or feeling foggy. The evidence here is weak, so don't panic, but it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before you start agrimony, especially if you check your sugar regularly.
