Amitriptyline, Perphenazine falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Alfalfa interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of alfalfa with photosensitizing drugs might have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that excessive doses of alfalfa may increase photosensitivity, possibly due to its chlorophyll content. It is unclear if this effect would be clinically relevant in humans.

Here's the gist for the Triavil combo (that's amitriptyline plus perphenazine). Both of those medicines can make your skin a little more sensitive to sunlight, so you may sunburn faster than you'd expect. Alfalfa, especially in concentrated supplement doses, may add to that sun-sensitivity, mostly because of a pigment it contains called chlorophyll.

I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical concern based mainly on animal studies, and we don't really know if it matters in people. It's also not the same as a serious drug-on-drug reaction. Eating alfalfa sprouts in a salad is unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you take alfalfa supplements, it's smart to use sunscreen, cover up outdoors, and run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
