Hydroflumethiazide falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Alfalfa interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of alfalfa with photosensitizing drugs might have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that excessive doses of alfalfa may increase photosensitivity, possibly due to its chlorophyll content. It is unclear if this effect would be clinically relevant in humans.

Here's the gist: hydroflumethiazide (Saluron) is a water pill, and one of its known quirks is that it can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. That means you may sunburn faster or break out in a sun-related rash, even on days that don't feel especially bright. Alfalfa, taken in large supplement doses, has been suggested to do something similar, possibly because of its chlorophyll content.

Put them together and the worry is simply additive sun sensitivity, not a dangerous chemical clash. But I'll be honest with you: this is theoretical, based mostly on animal data, and we don't know how much it matters in real people. Food amounts of alfalfa are unlikely to be an issue. If you use the supplement, wear sunscreen and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
