Perphenazine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA strongly inhibits CYP2D6.

Here's the basic idea with these two. Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear perphenazine from your system. In lab testing, BMPEA appears to strongly block that enzyme. If that happens in real life, perphenazine could build up higher than expected, which may mean stronger side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, a drop in blood pressure when you stand, dry mouth, or muscle stiffness and restlessness.

I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical right now, based on lab data rather than studies in people. But there's a second issue worth mentioning: BMPEA is a hidden amphetamine-like stimulant that can raise heart rate and blood pressure, which works against what perphenazine is doing. I'd steer clear and check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
