Here's the simple version: Dexedrine is already a strong stimulant. It speeds up your nervous system, which is exactly why it helps with focus, but it can also push up your heart rate and blood pressure. Bitter orange contains synephrine, which acts a lot like a milder stimulant of its own. Stack the two together and you're essentially adding fuel to the same fire.

The realistic worry is too much stimulation: a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, anxiety, or trouble sleeping. This concern is mostly theoretical and based on how these compounds behave rather than strong trials, so it isn't a guarantee. Still, since both raise cardiovascular load, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you have any heart or blood pressure issues.

Theoretically, bitter orange might increase levels of drug metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro research shows that octopamine, a constituent of bitter orange, weakly inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with bitter orange and your Dexedrine. Both of them are stimulants, so the bigger concern is simply stacking two pep-up substances together. Bitter orange's synephrine can nudge up your heart rate and blood pressure, and dextroamphetamine already does that on its own. Combining them could leave you feeling jittery, racing-hearted, anxious, or with a higher blood pressure than usual.

There's also a lab-only finding that one piece of bitter orange (octopamine) may weakly slow the CYP2D6 enzyme that helps clear dextroamphetamine, which could theoretically let a little more linger in your system. This hasn't been shown in real people, so it's a minor, mostly theoretical worry. Still, please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor first.
