Naproxen, Pseudoephedrine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Burdock interacts with.

Theoretically, taking burdock with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding.

In vitro research shows that lignans from burdock reduce rabbit platelet aggregation by inhibiting platelet activating factor. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the deal with Aleve Cold and Sinus, which combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) and pseudoephedrine (a decongestant). Naproxen already nudges up bleeding risk a little on its own because it affects how your platelets clump together. Some lab work on burdock suggests its plant compounds (lignans) may also make platelets a bit less sticky.

Stacked together, the theory is they could add up and raise your chance of bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach irritation and bleeding, which naproxen is already known for. That said, this is only seen in test-tube and animal studies, never reported in real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist, especially if you bleed or bruise easily.
