ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Lispro-Aabc
Insulin Lispro-Aabc falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cabbage interacts with.
Animal and in vivo research suggests that cabbage might have hypoglycemic effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Lyumjev (insulin lispro-aabc) is a fast-acting mealtime insulin that lowers your blood sugar. Some lab and animal studies hint that cabbage may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. So the idea here is simple: if cabbage nudges your sugar down a little and your insulin is already doing that job, the two together could in theory push your levels lower than expected. That could show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, a fast heartbeat, or confusion.
I want to be honest though, this is theoretical and based on weak evidence. Eating cabbage as a normal food is very unlikely to cause a problem. If you're using large amounts or concentrated cabbage supplements, just keep an eye on your readings and check with your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.

About Cabbage
What is Cabbage?
- Breast engorgement during breastfeeding
- Joint pain and swelling (topical)
- Digestive and stomach upset
- General nutrition and antioxidant support
- Skin and minor inflammation (topical)
Cabbage is a nutritious, low-calorie vegetable that is safe to eat as food and is sometimes applied to the skin as a leaf wrap for breast engorgement or sore joints. Most medicinal claims are based on tradition or limited research, with the strongest (though still modest) evidence being for cooling cabbage leaves on engorged breasts. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using cabbage in large amounts or as a treatment.
