Amobarbital falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cannabidiol (cbd) interacts with.

Theoretically, cannabidiol might have additive effects if used with other CNS depressants.
Preliminary clinical research, case reports, and animal studies suggest that high dose cannabidiol has sedative and hypnotic effects. Theoretically, concomitant use of cannabidiol with drugs with sedative and anesthetic properties may cause additive therapeutic and adverse effects.

Here's the simple version: Amobarbital is a barbiturate, a powerful sedative that slows down your brain and central nervous system. CBD, especially at higher doses, can also have a calming, sleep-promoting effect. When you put two things that both quiet the brain together, their effects can stack up. With Amobarbital, that could mean extra drowsiness, dizziness, slowed or shallow breathing, confusion, or feeling unusually groggy.

To be fair, this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how these compounds behave rather than strong human studies. Still, because Amobarbital is already a strong drug on its own, it's worth taking seriously. Please don't start, stop, or change anything yourself. Just check in with your pharmacist or doctor first so they can guide you safely.
