Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the thing to watch with Actifed Allergy: it's a combo product, and the diphenhydramine half is a sedating antihistamine that already makes a lot of people drowsy. CBD, especially at higher doses, can have its own calming, sleepy effect. Put the two together and that drowsiness may stack up, so you could feel more groggy, foggy, or dizzy than usual.

I'll be honest, this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how these things work rather than strong studies, so it's not a reason to panic. The pseudoephedrine part is actually a stimulant and may offset some sleepiness. Just go easy until you know how the combo hits you, skip driving until you're sure, and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Diphenhydramine, Pseudoephedrine page

“This medicine pulls in two directions at once, which is exactly why the supplement list for diphenhydramine and pseudoephedrine (Actifed Allergy) is not one to skim. The antihistamine half is sedating, so anything else that slows the brain deepens drowsiness; beer, wine, and kava all carry major ratings, with alcohol the best documented.”

CBD is a compound from the cannabis (hemp) plant that does not cause a 'high.'
