Ziconotide falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cannabidiol (cbd) interacts with.

Theoretically, cannabidiol might have additive effects if used with other CNS depressants.
Preliminary clinical research, case reports, and animal studies suggest that high dose cannabidiol has sedative and hypnotic effects. Theoretically, concomitant use of cannabidiol with drugs with sedative and anesthetic properties may cause additive therapeutic and adverse effects.

Ziconotide (Prialt) is a powerful pain medicine delivered straight into the fluid around your spinal cord. On its own it can cause dizziness, confusion, drowsiness, trouble thinking clearly, and problems with balance or coordination. CBD, especially at higher supplement doses, can have its own calming, sedating effect. So the concern here is simple addition: stack the two and you may feel more groggy, foggy, or unsteady than you would with either alone.

This is a theoretical caution based on how each one behaves, not on hard proof, so it does not mean you must avoid CBD. But because ziconotide already carries serious mental and neurological side effects, it is worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before adding CBD.
