Here's the idea worth knowing if you take prednisone. One reason people are put on this steroid is to calm down or quiet an overactive immune system, whether that's for arthritis, lupus, bad allergies, or another inflammatory condition. Chaga, on the other hand, is often marketed to boost immune activity, and some lab studies show its compounds can stimulate immune cells.

So in theory, the two could work against each other, with chaga potentially nudging your immune system back up while prednisone is trying to settle it down. I'll be honest though, this is only seen in test-tube research and has never been reported in real people, so it's more caution than proven problem. Before adding chaga, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can weigh in for your situation.
