In laboratory research, cnidium has been shown to have sedative and hypnotic effects, possibly related to constituent coumarins. Theoretically, cnidium may potentiate the effects of barbiturates, other sedatives, and anxiolytics.

Here's the gist: Deprol combines meprobamate (a calming, sedative-type medicine) with benactyzine. In lab and animal studies, cnidium itself has shown sedative effects, likely from its coumarin compounds. So putting the two together could, in theory, pile sedation on top of sedation.

What that might look like in real life is feeling extra drowsy, foggy, or lightheaded, with slower reactions and poorer coordination. That matters more if you drive or have a few drinks. I want to be honest though: this concern comes only from test tube and animal research, not human studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. To be safe, run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your medication on your own.
