In laboratory research, cnidium has been shown to have sedative and hypnotic effects, possibly related to constituent coumarins. Theoretically, cnidium may potentiate the effects of barbiturates, other sedatives, and anxiolytics.

Here's the gist: Flurazepam (Dalmane) is already a strong sleep aid that calms brain activity to help you nod off. Cnidium has shown its own sedative, sleep-promoting effects in lab and animal studies, likely from the coumarin compounds it contains. So in theory, pairing the two could stack their calming effects together, leaving you more drowsy than expected, possibly with grogginess the next morning, dizziness, poor coordination, or trouble waking up fully.

I want to be honest about the evidence, though. This concern comes only from laboratory and animal research, not from studies in people, so it stays theoretical for now. Still, since both work in the same direction, it's worth running it past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing on your own.

Flurazepam Hydrochloride capsules are used to treat insomnia. Specifically, they help with difficulty falling asleep, frequent wake-ups during the night, and early morning awakening.

Because insomnia is often short-lived, flurazepam is generally intended for short-term use. If sleep problems don't improve within 7 to 10 days of treatment, a healthcare provider should evaluate whether an underlying medical or psychiatric condition may be the cause.
