CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Flibanserin
Flibanserin falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cnidium interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know about pairing Cnidium with Flibanserin (Addyi). Flibanserin already has a real reputation for making people sleepy and dizzy, and it can also drop your blood pressure, especially if you stand up quickly. In lab and animal studies, cnidium (mostly its coumarin compound osthole) showed sedative, calming effects. So the worry is simple: stacking the two could leave you more drowsy, lightheaded, or foggy than either one alone.
I want to be honest about the evidence here. This is theoretical, coming from test tube and animal work, not from people taking both together. Still, since Flibanserin is taken at bedtime and already causes sleepiness, it's worth running this combination past your pharmacist or doctor before you start.

Brand name: Addyi
Addyi is approved to treat acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) — a condition where low sexual desire causes significant distress or relationship difficulty — in women under 65. "Acquired" means the low desire developed after a period of normal desire; "generalized" means it happens regardless of the situation or partner.
