Here's the idea behind this pairing. Tolterodine calms an overactive bladder by blocking acetylcholine, the nerve signal that makes the bladder muscle squeeze. Deanol is marketed as something that may nudge acetylcholine levels up. So on paper, the two could work against each other, with deanol slightly chipping away at how well tolterodine controls those sudden, urgent bathroom trips.

I want to be honest with you, though: this is a theoretical concern based on how each one works, not something proven in real people. The interaction is rated minor and unlikely, and it's still unclear how much deanol actually raises acetylcholine in humans. If you do notice your bladder symptoms creeping back while taking both, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor rather than changing anything on your own.
