Here's the concern with pairing elderberry and Columvi (glofitamab). Glofitamab isn't a pill your liver has to break down. It's an antibody-based cancer treatment that works by revving up your immune system's T-cells to attack lymphoma cells. Elderberry, at least in lab studies, seems to nudge the immune system too, boosting signals like interleukins and TNF.

The worry is theoretical: two things pushing on the immune system at once could, in principle, add to inflammation-related side effects such as fever, chills, or cytokine release reactions. Honestly, though, this is based on weak, mostly test-tube evidence, so I wouldn't panic. Since Columvi is serious therapy, just clear any elderberry product with your oncology team first.
